Biography

David Gedosh is a composer and sound artist whose works include acousmatic music, electroacoustic music with live performance, interactive computer music, video, and dance. His music has been performed throughout North and Central America, and Europe, at festivals and conferences including Bourges Festival Synthèse (IMEB), Ecuentros de Esquina, musica electroacoustica, Florida Electroacoustic Music Festival, Holophon.ca, ICMC, IMMArts, SEAMUS, RTVE.es, and Zeppelin Festival. He has received awards from ASCAP, Bourges, and the Greater Denton Arts Council.

He has curated new music concerts, presented papers and lectures on musical aesthetics, sound design, and sound and space at the OK Electric and New Genre Music Festivals (Tulsa OK), and the International Jean Gebser Society Conference (NYU, Rice Univ).

David earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of North Texas, specializing in computer music and intermedia, and M.M. and BMA degrees from the University of Oklahoma. He currently teaches courses in music technology, audio production, and composition at the Academy of Contemporary Music at the University of Central Oklahoma.
